HANDS-ON. OUR MOST POPULAR CLASS!! ADULTS ONLY - NO YOUTH - 18 YEARS AND OLDER. This foundation course introduces you to the wonderful world of woodworking. You will learn how to set alignment and use the chop saw, table saw, jointer, planner, band saw, router table and a stationary sander. Safety will be emphasized with each machine. Each student will complete a hands-on project using basic joinery techniques. Types of wood and finishing techniques will also be discussed. Build An End-Grain Cutting Board

HANDS-ON. We have a GREAT KITCHEN CLASS from Doug Jones. Students will build, over the three nights, an End-Grain style Cutting Board from two contrasting types of wood. This 12" X 18" Cutting Board will be constructed from "End-Grain", not the Long-Grain of the boards. This traditional method of building a Cutting Board makes it VERY DURABLE. It will takes cuts from a knife and not show any damage for many years to come. Doug is a great woodworker and his hands-on approach to teaching will help you learn all the tricks for End-Grain cutting and glue-up. You will also learn many valuable machining tips that will help you in all your woodworking projects. This new class will be a very popular and fill quickly so, sign up A.S.A.P.

Students will also learn which side of the board should be used for the outside of the project and learn how to glue up a panel without it cupping.
