The knife is constructed from 7/64" - thick high-quality 440C stainless steel that is easy to sharpen and maintain a keen edge. Shape, mount and finish your custom handle for a truly one-of-a-kind, high-quality knife. The 8" overall length and 3 - 1/2" stainless steel blade with finger grip relief makes this a great general-purpose hunting, fishing, or camping knife. (We will be using the Drop Point Knife kit in this class)

Your experience with different tools will most likely also decide the finish you choose and the steps to prepare for the application of the finish. In this class the instructor will cover some of the common finishes, the options for preparing the wood to best accept the finish and alternative preparation paths to assure you hit the mark for your project. At the end of the class, you’ll be able to layout your finishing project starting with preparation based on the finish type, and plan each and every step you will need to complete a beautiful project your friends will envy. (Optional class tools apron, and card scrapers)
